ya ya ya

so i got a few ladies for my bro.. it's amazing what a little exposure will do. and since i've gotten a lot of crap for not posting lately.. here it is.. my life lately exists of working and taking care of the kiddies. akyra is high maintenance for sure, but damn is she cute. she is allergic to just about everything and has a severe case of baby excema, which isn't fun for anyone. her poor little body is covered in a rash and i know how bad it itches (you see.. we all have some type of excema-and there are several fun varieties).. so she scratches herself until she bleeds.. not realizing the damage she is doing. she won't sleep much because it bothers her so much, nor can we let her.. otherwise her skin goes raw. yeah! f-u-n with a capital F. so these days i am getting very little sleep myself and barely functioning. i feel bad for the world around me. i am almost always hopped up on caffeine and can't imagine i am too much fun. i apologize.. bare with me.. we'll get thru this one.. and i'll post picutures soon.

calling all the ladies

okay i should rephrase that.. all single ladies. my brother andy is now single and looking for love in all the wrong places (just kidding bro!).. so i just thought i would put it out there and see who bites. if you need a refresher of what andy looks like, see the montage below (well i said it was on.. post). yes, those may not feature his best side.. but to give my honest opinion of andy, he's got the biggest heart of anyone i know. he is the sweetest person and i would love to see him with someone that is just as nice. he's going to kill me for this, but it's a risk i'm willing to take. go andy, go andy, go, go, go andy!

cat nap

i came home to matt and akyra napping on the couch with my other little helper taking care of the house. hannah greeted me at the door with a "hi honey, you're finally home". i got the rundown of her busy day at kindergarten and more than i want to know about a boy named garret, while the other two continued their slumber. they didn't wake up until i started snapping the flash of the camera.




i think hannah needed to cut loose after all of her duties as a full time student and part-time helper. also very exhausting!

no love for the bow

this is for all you ladies who insist that i put bows in my daughter's hair. as you can tell, she doesn't like it. good enough?

he's back

on december 30th we welcomed elijah back home after his two week trip to germany! we decided this year we would wait to celebrate our christmas until we were all together. so after his long day of flights, he arrived in portland to his eager family. i swear those two weeks he was gone seemed like an eternity. it's one thing to have a child visiting family in another state.. but another country? we drove home and around 10pm exchanged gifts.


hannah was so excited waiting for elijah to get off the plane, she could hardly stand still (i guess that's not too different than usual).
