what's new

it's been awhile.. i know. things have been a little strange lately. the family is doing well, except for the winter icks that come and go almost weekly. my bambi injury is still proving to be a pain. i had an MRI last friday and results should be in soon. worst case i will have to have surgery on my cervical spine.. i'm really hoping it won't go that far. my doc and my therapist are pushing me to work shorter hours. apparently working on a computer all day doesn't help my condition. so i get up every 30 minutes and walk around.. stretch.. whine.. complain.. and then attempt to be creative and productive. ha!

the kids are doing well. akyra is 6 months old and i swear she is saying "dadda" knowing exactly who that is. figures! don't they know "momma" does everything? ha ha.. sorry matt, you know it's true. hannah is the ever helpful big sis and if it weren't for her.. i would be lost. she is always wanting to help feed her and even loves changing her diapers. maybe i knew what i was doing when i spaced them out by 5 years. okay that was just a coincidence. even elijah likes helping out with the other two.. yet i haven't gotten him to change a diaper yet.

i'll try to post some new pics later. hang tight peils!

e shuffle

it is that time of year again.. matt could hardly contain himself. elijah aka "27" is headed into his 3rd year of bball. it appears that all of his practicing has really paid off. we were surprised at his aggression after his first game. go elijah! he must get that from me.

the bambi effect

so i'm driving home after a fun day at work, minding my own business.. when all the sudden a fully grown bambi jumps out right in front of my lovely scion. the nerve... i barely remember it, although i remember it being surreal-like. after a few minutes i realize i should probably stop and check out the damage. the adrenaline was still going strong and i wasn't thinking very straight (see the other entry below as to why). i thought i would post the fun for everyone to see.

i went to the doc today to get checked out. apparently, my spine is outta whack. there are places in the spine that should have some natural curve and mine isn't so. therefore sending painful shooting pains thru the left side of my body. and just when i was starting to get used to it.. they prescribed a nice muscle relaxer and physical therapy, lots of heat and plenty of massage. you hear that matt? lots of massage.. i don't want to hear any excuses, the doc knows best. and you can bet i will be taking advantage of this for as long as possible.
